Dear MBA-IV classmates:

Planning for the 35th class reunion has been ongoing, and one very important initial step is to reconfirm the dates. As I have communicated in the past, the dates are the last week in June 2010. Specific dates are Sunday, June 27th thru July 3rd with departure Sunday July 4th. As in the past, some of us will be at La Verniaz for the entire week. As during our previous stays, La Verniaz is requiring a minimum of a four night stay and a credit card number to confirm your reservation.

The four core dates would therefore be Wednesday June 30th thru Saturday July 3rd, with departure Sunday July 4th.

A tentative schedule would be to have a golf outing on Thursday July 1st or Friday July 2nd (depending on the weather)

Group dinners each night with the gala dinner most likely on Friday.

Date(s) of the entertainment to be determined by arrangers Mike Winkler and Bruce, will keep you posted at a later date.

Other events will be scheduled as interests determine, such as do we wish to visit IMEDE one day?

So mark your calendar if you haven't done so already, and get ready for a great time at La Verniaz in Evian.

Rooms at La Verniaz

At the time of writing four rooms have been reserved and we are still holding 21 bedrooms for the period mentioned above, and we are happy to confirm our availability for the following rooms:

Standard rooms

* five double rooms, standard category, with twin beds or king size bed, bathroom, on the south and country side, at the rate of 313 Euro.

* six double rooms, standard category, with twin beds or king size bed, bathroom, on the lake side, at the rate of 341 Euro.

Superior rooms

* four corner double rooms, superior category, with twin beds or king size bed, bathroom, balcony, on the country side, at the rate of 356 Euro.

* three corner double rooms, superior category, with twin beds or king size bed, bathroom with bath and separated shower, balcony, on the lake side, at the rate of 388 Euro.

* one corner double room (slightly bigger), superior category, with twin beds or king size bed, bathroom with bath and separated shower, on the third floor, small balcony, view over the lake, at the rate of 404 Euro.

Our Junior Suite, apartment and chalets

* one junior suite, on the third floor, with double bed, bathroom, sitting area with a sofa bed, terrace and balcony, view over the lake, at the rate of 451 Euro.

* one apartment, situated in the building of the Closerie, whole renovated, with a large double room, with king size or twin beds, bathroom, wide balcony overlooking the gardens, a smaller bedroom, with king size or twin beds, bathroom, a sitting room with fire place, at the rate of 661 Euro for two people and 797 Euro for four people. .

* one chalet “Liseron”, situated in our gardens, with a double bed, bathroom, sitting room with fire place, balcony, at the rate of 451 Euro.

* one chalet “Cyclamen”, situated in our gardens, with king size or twin beds, bathroom with bath and separated shower, a sitting room with fire stove, balcony and a little garden, at the rate of 481 Euro.

* one chalet “Gentiane”, whole renovated, situated in our gardens, with two double rooms, with king size or twin beds, each with bathroom, a spacious sitting room with fire stove, on the first floor, two single rooms, with single bed, bathroom with shower, at the rate of 812 Euro for four people and 978 Euro for six people.

* one chalet “Myosotis”, more rustical, situated in our gardens, with a double room with double bed, bathroom, a single room with single bed, bathroom with shower, a sitting room, at the rate of 461 Euro for two people and 529 Euro for three people.

* one chalet “Passiflor”, more rustical, situated in our gardens, with two double rooms, one with double bed, one with king size or twin beds, each with bathroom, a sitting room, at the rate of 670 Euro for four people.

Taxes and service included. The above rates are per room, on half board basis (breakfast and one meal), city tax at 1.30 Euro is on supplement per person, per day.

As in your previous stays, we require a minimum of four night stay and a credit card number to confirm each reservation.

Regarding the gala dinner we offer you a five course meal with a supplement of 16 Euro per person on half board basis. For people who are not on half board, the menu price is 72 Euro per person (beverages on supplement).

Our cancellation policy :

Cancellation in more than 30 days : no cancellation fees
Cancellation between 30 days and 8 days : 50% of the room rate will be charged unless the room is sold again.
Cancellation within 8 days : 80 % of the room rate will be charged unless the room is sold again.
