Hal Dorf (pictured above) received his seventh honorary doctorate in Statistics, this one from M.I.T.* on Friday May 23rd, 2004.   Reached at his Northern Michigan Igloo with Eskimo wife Arlene at his side, Dorf credited Peter Stratton of London and Christian Ferner of Oslo with providing the tremendous intellectual stimulus that has led him to such great career heights.
